DYLAN'S BIRTHDAY

I went to cousin Dylan's birthday party.

He got to eat a big cake.

I got locked in a cage cause everyone says I'm a wild animal.

But Aunt Mairin rescued me.

And then we had a family hug.

GG TIME

Liam is visiting his GG this week.

FRIENDS

Dylan came to visit twice this week.

Liam said, "Use my lion but stay away from my bottle."

Dylan showed him a new recipe for breakfast.

Which was so good that Liam swam in it.

Katherine came to the Museum of Play with us Saturday.

Liam and Dylan played a duet.

Carter was here to visit for the whole weekend.

He sold Wegman's out of carrots.

And Liam gave him a deal on a bulk price.

They both had mixed feeling about the public transportation.

Liam was on the verge of tears when it was time for Carter to leave.

STRAWBERRY DAY

Jamie and I have to share him as a date.

MUSICAL CHOCOLATE

Jamie was cooking with white chocolate chips yesterday. Liam got a hold of one of them but he didn't try to eat it. He continually try to stuff it into his ear. He tried both ears several times and each time it fell out he tried to mash it back in. He kept going until the little chip finally got mashed up and he had nothing left.

Why was Liam try to stuff a white chocolate chip into his ear?

It was very odd but Jamie came up with the answer. We both have ear bud style headphones and both sets are white. Liam thought the white chocolate chip was an ear phone and he was trying to hear some music.

SNOW DAY

Jamie got her snow day on Wednesday. Liam had a different kind today.

JAILBREAK

Now, before we begin, it should be clearly noted that NO BABIES WERE HARMED in the making of this video. Or, no babies were physically harmed, the emotional damage we may not understand until many years down the road.
On to the video! Liam and Katherine know what Baby Gates are but this was their first encounter with the Doggy Gate at Capt. Don's house. Obviously the makers of the Doggy Gate were not expecting doggies to be able to grab hold and pull.
Liam does the grunt work and Katherine is free to escape. I might consider this our first action movie.

TODDLER BED

How do you know when it's time to transfer to the toddler bed? Well, today Liam staged two separate jail breaks, each time climbing over the top of his crib to escape. The first time no one heard him and the second time Jamie noted that she heard a 'thump' and then a few seconds later, "Hi Momma!!"

Well now there is not challenge to the escape. Hopefully his shows his appreciation for the new freedom by staying put.

FORK SKILLS

This is another one of those videos where I have to say, if you watch through the entire thing you are either a grandparent or you probably need to consider why it is that you are so easily entertained.
We've continued to feed Liam by hand for many of his meals. I think this may just be because we prefer to get through them faster and tend to avoid waiting around for him to pick away for 30-45 minutes. Well, last night we gave him a big boy fork and he went right to town with it. Apparently he has just been sitting around quietly waiting for us to give him a real piece of steel to work with.

BIG MORNING

I believe the look on Liam's face would be, "Let's Get This Party Started!"
